Security at OnScale

OnScale’s world-class security helps protect your most valuable assets: your IP.

OnScale chose Amazon Web Services (AWS) as our Cloud service platform because security is our highest priority, and AWS is the market leader in cloud security.

With AWS’s strict standards for data security, along with a wide selection of security tools for extra protection and the ability to mitigate attacks, AWS removes security concerns and allows your team to focus on using OnScale Cloud Simulation to push the boundaries of R&D.

Security Features

  • SOC2 Compliant, Third-Party verified
  • Frequent penetration tests
  • Encryption in transit with Transport Layer Security (TLS)
  • Resistant against DDoS attacks
  • Global Infrastructure with 55 Availability Zones
  • Regional and data residency compliant.
All data is encrypted during communication and when stored in private buckets on AWS S3. At no point is sensitive customer data decrypted during transfer or storage. Simulation jobs run in private, closed containers on AWS EC2 and are inaccessible outside of AWS with hardware-level encryption. Encryption keys are created when a user first authenticates OnScale. Keys are never shared with OnScale. Password management is accomplished by AWS Cognito – no one at OnScale has any user passwords or encryption keys.
